The Collaboration
and Cognition Lab
Artificial intelligence with humans in mind
The Collaboration and Cognition Laboratory examines a number of current research issues in artificial intelligence, human computer interfaces, and cognitive modelling. Working in an interdisciplinary framework, we focus on case-based reasoning, mixed-initiative planning, distributed intelligent agents, learning and intelligent user interfaces. The hope is that by combining methodologies from each of these areas, we can formulate a theory of human/machine collaboration that provide a foundation for prototype implementations. The goal is for these implementations to be both computationally efficient and to match cognitive models of users with the technology that support user tasks.
